How to View Messages on Instagram Without Showing Seen?

We’re back once again with new Instagram tips and tricks, where I'll tell you how to view messages on Instagram without showing the "Seen" status. Whenever we message someone on Instagram or someone messages us, a "Seen" status appears to both the sender and the receiver, letting us know that the message has been viewed.

But, you can actually view someone's message without showing the "Seen" status, meaning the person you’re messaging won’t see the "Seen" notification, but you’ll still be able to read their message. Let’s find out more about this trick.

How to View Messages on Instagram Without Showing Seen?

Step 1 - First, go to Instagram and open the chat of the person whose message you don’t want to show the "Seen" status for.

Step 2 - Click on the profile icon at the top.

Step 3 - Now, click on "Privacy and Safety."

Step 4 - Here, you need to turn off "Read Receipts."

Step 5 - Now, you can view the person's message, but they won’t see that it has been "Seen." They won’t know that you’ve read their message.

With this simple trick, you can view anyone's message without them knowing that you’ve seen it. If you don’t want to show the "Seen" status to someone, or don’t want them to know that you’ve read their message, just go to their profile and turn off "Read Receipts," and they won’t see it.
