Today, I'll guide you on how to recover permanently deleted Google Photos. Let's dive in and learn how to recover deleted Google Photos.

What is Google Photos?

We all know Google Photos is a software provided by Google that functions like a gallery app. It offers numerous features that make it more than just a photo gallery. For instance, you can do a lot of editing within Google Photos, and it even has a feature to stabilize videos, which is quite impressive.

You can directly upload your photos from the Google Photos app to Google Drive. This means that your photos are saved in Google Drive even if you permanently delete them from Google Photos. However, how do you recover these deleted photos? Let's explore that.

Can Permanently Deleted Google Photos Be Recovered?

Can we really recover permanently deleted Google Photos? For this, you might need to contact Google. In many cases, permanently deleted photos can be recovered because Google has advanced systems that sometimes allow you to retrieve permanently deleted photos.

To recover your photos, you'll need to contact Google. If you haven't permanently deleted the photos from Google Drive, then they're still safe. However, if you've deleted them from Google Photos, they get moved to the Bin, where they stay for 30 days. If you don't recover them within 30 days, they get permanently deleted. However, these recently deleted photos can still be recovered with Google's help.

How to Recover Deleted Google Photos

If you've deleted any photos from the Google Photos app, there are a few methods to recover them, which I'll explain below. These methods will help you recover deleted photos from Google Photos:

Go to Photos > Bin > See Your Photos > Restore Your Photos

This is one way to recover your photos. If you delete a photo from the Google Photos app, you have 30 days to recover it before it's permanently deleted.

Go to Google Drive

The photos you back up in the Google Photos app are saved in Google Drive. When you access Google Photos and see a backup option under any photo, it means that photo has been uploaded to Google Drive, not Google Photos itself. Google Photos is just an app that backs up and displays your photos from Google Drive.

If you want to recover deleted photos, go to Google Drive. There, you'll find a folder named "Google Photos," where all your photos will be stored. You can recover or download them from there.

Contact Google

If the first two methods don't work, you'll need to contact Google. Here's how you can do it:

  • Go to the Google Help Center.
  • Search for "Recover deleted photos" in the Google Help Center.
  • Click on "Read more" and scroll down.
  • Click on "Contact Us."
  • Write your query and click on the chat button.
  • You can chat with a Google agent.

If you want to recover deleted photos from Google Drive, you can do so, but Google Photos data is not stored by Google. However, Google Drive files are stored, so you can recover them with the help of Google Support. Chat with Google Support, share your problem, and they will help you recover your files and photos.
